Holly Dental Practice was set up by our practice principal, Andy Holly, in 2012 with the aim of providing exceptional dental care to patients in Preston. Our practice ethos is based on the knowledge that each of our patients has different needs and it is our job to tailor our dental treatments to suit each one.
We are particularly well-known for our friendly and caring team who strive to give our patients the best possible treatments in a relaxed, stress-free environment. Andy set up Holly Dental Practice with the aim of establishing it as one of the leading dental practices in the North West. As such, he can guarantee that all his patients will continue to receive the high standard of dental care and treatment they have come to expect from him over the past six years.
Born in Lancashire in 1983, Andy qualified from Newcastle University in 2006 and started his first full-time position as an associate in Preston the following summer. Since then, Andy has completed a number of courses which include Invisalign orthodontics, Enlighten teeth whitening, Med-fx botox and dermal fillers training, advanced endodontics, and most recently, a postgraduate diploma in advanced restorative and cosmetic dentistry.
One of the very few dentists to have achieved a diploma based solely around cosmetic dentistry, Andy is able to assess each patient differently depending on their needs, so he can guide patients more effectively in choosing what treatment and outcome is most suitable for them.
He also has a more in-depth knowledge of smile design as well as a better understanding of the most modern techniques and materials used, not only in cosmetic dentistry, but in all forms of general dentistry. Andy promises new patients that after just one appointment, they will never again feel the need to seek alternative dental care, either for themselves or their families.

Jackie joined the Holly Dental family in May 2021, but has had a successful career in Dentistry for 25 years! It has even taken her over to Australia where she travelled and worked for a couple of years before returning to the UK to develop her skills and training further.
16 years ago, whilst on her own anti-aging journey, she became interested in facial aesthetic treatments and is able to offer a variety of procedures at the practice, including anti-wrinkle treatments, dermal fillers and medical grade skincare.
Jackie enjoys building a relationship with her patients and helping them achieve their smile goals – her passion for aesthetics and cosmetic dentistry made her the perfect addition to our team.
Outside of work, she loves to keep an active lifestyle. She has walked over half the Wainwright walks, National 3 peaks, Yorkshire 3 peaks, Atlas Mountains, Kilimanjaro and Everest Base Camp as the icing on the cake!

What do you like to do outside of work: Gym, weight lifting, HIIT step addict (when my knees allow) and I have been doing Pilates for over 20 years.
Favourite food: Love cauliflower, cabbage and spinach… but love CAKE! This is actually a hard question as I do love all foods, more on the veggie side of things. My favourite restaurants include Italian Orchard, Turtle bay and Six by Nico.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO OUTSIDE OF WORK/HOBBIES: Outside of work I'm a big foodie and find myself visiting my favourite local restaurants and cafes almost a little too frequently! I also love travelling with friends and family - I’ve spent over a month living in Uganda providing dentistry to those in rural areas which was a really amazing experience.
FAVOURITE FOOD: Definitely guilty of a sweet tooth and can rarely turn down a chocolate fudge cake, but a good pasta also never disappoints!

Dr. Shammi Rouf is an experienced dentist with a special interest in implant and surgical dentistry. She currently works peripatetically across the North West with her practice mostly focused on implant and surgical dentistry.

After graduating from the University of Sheffield in 2005, she developed an early interest in surgery. This was formalised through Senior House Officer training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. In addition to gaining invaluable experience in managing complex medical patients, she attained core surgical skills.
In 2007, she attained the diploma of ‘Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery’ of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. She was also awarded a prize by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh for her work which featured in the British Dental Journal. Shammi has extensive experience in general dental practice with a particular interest in managing anxious patients. She is a certified Invisalign provider since 2008 and also enjoys all aspects of aesthetic dentistry.
Since 2018, Shammi has been placing and restoring dental implants of the world-renowned Straumann brand. She formalised her implant experience by undertaking an MSc in Dental Implantology at the prestigious ICE institute. She graduated with a distinction and in the same year attained a Postgraduate Diploma in Restorative and Implant Dentistry from the SynTrain Academy.
She offers complex implant procedures such as full arch implant rehabilitation including Same Day Smile. She has undertaken advanced training in sinus elevation and IV sedation. Shammi is passionate about teaching. She has acted as an Educational Supervisor training overseas dental graduates to reach the standards expected by the GDC.
She is a keen academic and remains an active member of the International Team for Implantology. She has both presented at and regularly attends study club meetings.

Born in Preston in 1986, Michelle started training as a dental nurse in 2002 and subsequently achieved her National Certificate in Dental Nursing in 2004.
Michelle has worked with Andy since August 2007, during which time she has attended various different courses with him. As a result, Michelle has a great understanding of all the treatments Andy offers, and a superb knowledge of the most modern techniques and materials available. This helps Andy to work more efficiently, allowing him to concentrate more time with each patient, and deliver the highest standards of dental care available.
Over the past few years, Michelle had also achieved NVQs in both customer care and team leadership, helping her to deal with the running of the dental practice and ensuring each patient receives all the attention they require.
What do you love about working at Holly Dental: I feel very lucky to work with such talented dental professionals who care about providing the best for all of our patients. I love seeing transformations in patients, whether it be from a big smile makeover or seeing somebody overcome their fears of the dentist. Working within this team is so enjoyable, it’s like coming to work with your best friends!
What do you like to do outside of work: Spending time with my loved ones, especially my two dogs. Going to the gym. Afternoon naps.
