Position: Dentist with Special Interest in Dental Implants

Jonathan is originally from Teesside and qualified from the University of Newcastle in 2006. He completed his vocational training in general dental practice in Bolton and stayed on at the practice. He has an interest in Oral Surgery, so during this time he worked part time in general practice and part time in hospital as a Clinical Assistant in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Salford Royal Hospital for 15 months. He then worked full time as a Senior House Officer in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in a 6 month post which was based in Blackburn Royal Hospital.
He has passed the Membership examination for the Dental Faculty of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and also the Membership Exam for the Joint Dental Faculties of England. He has also completed a certificate course in Dental Implantology run by Professor Ucer and he has completed with Distinction a Masters Degree in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Manchester. He is now a Clinical Teaching Fellow in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery with the University of Manchester, teaching post graduate dentists on the MSc programme. He is always keen to provide dentistry in the most relaxing and pleasant way possible and as an aid to this, he has completed a National Certificate Course in Conscious Sedation.
